If you wish to solve today’s Connections puzzle without great difficulty, you can get a few hints from us to help you out. This puzzle has some words that look quite vague at first glance, and you might stumble when you are trying to separate them out. I had a few mishaps myself, but I have all the answers now and I am set to give them to you. Without further ado, scroll on down to get the hints and tricks you need.
If you want a more traditional puzzle, the NYT’s Mini Crossword puzzle is one of the best ways to get the feeling without having to track down a physical newspaper. There aren’t many of those out there anymore, which is very unfortunate, and not many of the app versions give me the same feeling. While this one doesn’t get me fully back to the paper version, it does have a lot of the same elements. It is also packaged in a much smaller size, so it is easier to complete without having to take all day to solve the puzzle.
Today’s Connections Category Hints
MARCH 15 #643
If you need some hints for the game today, I have a few just for you. There are almost just as many clues as there are tricks laced into every puzzle, but they often play off of each other and make it harder to tell which is which. If you need that small nudge, you can get that from just using the few clues listed down below. However, if you are looking for something more, you can pass the hints and keep scrolling.
- One category is about something you wouldn’t want to accidentally poke
- One category is about the parts of something you would typically find in a hard leather case in a temperature-controlled room
- One category is about words you use to describe certain actions, often located somewhere very official
- One category contains four words that are all found in the same nursery rhyme

None of these things are particularly things I would want to prick my finger on, but I think BARB’s are the worst because they are the hardest to get back out of your finger. However, I did recognize that they were all sharp, so I was able to scoop this category up the fastest. There wasn’t really anything else that I would put in this category, and it did feel like the easiest one to solve today. The same can’t be said, however, for the next category.

For some reason, I really struggled with this one. I was in band for over ten years, and I have at least marginally played both a violin and a guitar, but for some reason, this one gave me issues. I think it was down to the fact that it was between these words and the ones from the nursery rhyme for me, so they were a little harder to sort out. That said, I was able to get this one before it was too late, it just gave me trouble as I was attempting to solve it.

I got this one second, and I feel like there have been a fair number of lawsuit-themed categories recently. It must be on the editor’s minds, although I’m not sure just how far out these are planned. It’s over a week, and I’d guess they plan at least a month in advance. Still, maybe they should focus on something other than lawsuits and legal fines. It’s much too depressing to think about this often.

This is one of my favorite nursery rhymes and one of the least violent ones on the whole. I actually used to have a stuffed animal that would repeat this, and I had a sneaking suspicion about this group of words, but I think I would have gotten it faster if it was either “bright” or “light” instead of MIGHT. However, that might have made it too easy for the purple category, which only means something harder would have been here instead.
