Two cruise lines are offering flexible cancellation fees to travelers affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, which continue to burn a week after they broke out.

For its part, Norwegian Cruise Line said it would waive cancellation fees for anyone impacted by the fires and offer a 100 percent future cruise credit for the months of January and February. The company said it doesn’t have any ships currently sailing out of Los Angeles.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with all of those impacted by the wildfires affecting the greater Los Angeles region. While we currently do not have any ships sailing from the region, it is affecting many of our guests that call the area home,” the cruise line wrote in a statement posted to its website. “During this time, we will be waiving any cancelation fees for guests who have been impacted by this devastation and are currently booked to sail with us during the months of January and February. They will receive a 100% future cruise credit of the fare paid, so they can reschedule their voyage to a later date when they are ready.”

Norwegian said it has also donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross.

“We remain committed to the well-being of the communities affected during this very difficult time and to supporting their recovery,” the company added.

Similarly, Princess Cruises has offered travelers in evacuation areas or whose homes have been significantly damaged the option to cancel cruises departing through Jan. 30 for a 100 percent future cruise credit. The company will also refund extras like shore excursions, USA Today reported.

“While the Los Angeles World Cruise Center and Los Angeles International Airport remain fully operational and unaffected by the fires, we are keenly aware of the hardships faced by many in our community,” the cruise line told the outlet.

A representative for Princess Cruises did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Travel + Leisure

The Los Angeles wildfires first broke out last week and continue to rage, burning tens of thousands of acres so far. The two largest fires are the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire, which are 17 percent and 35 percent contained, respectively.

Several other companies in the travel industry have also stepped up to help displaced residents, including offering discounted rides on Amtrak, offering free or discounted hotel rates, and helping homeowners donate stays to victims of the fires.
