A man has been rescued from the rubble of a collapsed hotel in Myanmar, five days after a powerful earthquake struck the country, Myanmar’s Fire Services Department reported on Wednesday.
The survivor was saved by a joint team of Myanmar and Turkish rescuers in the capital, Naypyidaw, around 12:30 am local time (18:00 GMT Tuesday). His condition remains unclear.
The earthquake, which devastated large parts of the country, has claimed over 2,700 lives. Rescue operations continue as hopes of finding more survivors fade.
