The only challenge with Miami being the place to see and be seen is that oftentimes the pesky reality of traffic congestion stands in the way. But now there’s a new way to hop around town quickly — and in the most lavish way. 

ILandMiami has launched its VIP Luxury Service, transporting its guests seamlessly between its fleet of helicopters and marine vessels to travel between destinations as quickly as possible. 

“We are offering more than just a transportation service — we are providing a forward-thinking solution that reflects Miami’s status as a global leader in mobility and luxury lifestyle,” Paxton Terris, the company’s COO, told Travel + Leisure. “The ‘service’ we offer is way more than just a service, it is an experience like no other.”

Whether guests are looking to travel between airports, hotels, waterfront residences, or private venues, the company, which manufactures and operates marine utility vessels (MUV), is efficiently integrating air and sea transportation. Helicopters land on an Excalibur 55 Marine Utility Vessel and are transferred onto a VanDutch 40 tender and then taken to their destination. 

In short: all the headaches of logistics are taken out of the equation and guests can hop around the city like it’s their playground.

Since every ride is bespoke, pricing varies based on the destination and the helicopter requested. For example, a ride from Miami’s Opa-Locka Executive Airport to a hotel on South Beach on a corporate Bell 407 helicopter with a private cabin that seats up to six passengers would be about $9,000 to $10,000. The rate includes the helicopter charter, landing on the MUV, as well as a transfer to the hotel on the VanDutch 40 boat. 

Similar services on the AgustaWestland 109 helicopter would be about 20 to 25 percent more. A Twin Star helicopter will also soon be added, with service expected to be around $6,000 to $7,000.

The service is especially valuable during Miami’s busiest periods, like the recent Art Basel, so during festivals like that, specials are also offered.
