In a significant development for Darwin’s hospitality industry, IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with JH Group to open its first Voco hotel in the Northern Territory, Australia. The hotel, named voco Darwin Suites, is set to open later this year.

Situated at 87 Mitchell Street in the heart of Darwin’s Central Business District, the 87-key upscale property will be conveniently located close to Darwin Entertainment Centre and within walking distance of various attractions, including the iconic Crocosaurus Cove.

The Voco Darwin Suites will be adapted from a repurposed commercial office building. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, meeting space, fitness centre, and outdoor pool. All guest rooms will include self-contained kitchenettes designed to accommodate both short-term and extended-stay visitors.

The hotel will offer a swift and simple check-in process and a locally inspired treat to start the guest’s stay. A dedicated voco host will be available to ensure every guest maximizes their visit. The guest rooms are designed to encourage guests to unwind and relax.

The opening of Voco Darwin Suites marks a significant milestone in IHG’s regional growth strategy. The rapid expansion of the Voco brand, demonstrated by the launch of Voco Darwin Suites and other properties, is driven by its adaptable upscale proposition, appealing to owners seeking versatility and flexibility in the market.
