• IHG Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Grupo Presidente, opens the InterContinental Presidente Monterrey, located in the bustling San Pedro Garza García neighborhood.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has joined forces with Grupo Presidente to open the InterContinental Presidente Monterrey. The hotel is nestled in the heart of Monterrey’s San Pedro Garza García neighborhood.

The property, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio in Barcelona, beautifully blends contemporary style with decadent touches and modern amenities, set against a stunning mountain backdrop. The hotel’s eye-catching facade, crafted from metal and mobile wooden panels, shields the property from the intense sun while still allowing for an abundance of natural light.

InterContinental Presidente Monterrey offers 293 guestrooms, including 25 expansive suites thoughtfully designed to provide guests with tranquil, harmonious spaces. Quality finishes, including solid walnut and Gris Rochelle marble from Italy, adorn the rooms, while the bathrooms feature luxury amenities and rainfall showers.

The hotel has three dining venues that offer a mix of national and international flavors. These include Lilú, an all-day dining restaurant serving elevated international dishes; Epicentro, a gin and tonic-focused cocktail bar reminiscent of its original counterpart in Mexico City; and Chapulín, set to open in April, which celebrates the history and flavors of Mexico.

Monterrey, Mexico’s second-largest economy, is an international business hub amidst the breathtaking Cerro de la Silla, Sierra Madre de Chipinque, and Cerro de las Mitras mountains. 

Guests can enjoy a variety of on-site offerings, including the Ikal Spa, a 24-hour fitness center, a business center equipped with the latest technology, a dry cleaning service, and a Club InterContinental lounge.

The hotel also features over 1,600 square meters of modern and versatile meeting and event spaces, accommodating up to 1,500 guests. These spaces have LED architectural lighting, high-speed internet, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

This opening marks the fifth InterContinental to open in the Americas in the past two years, following properties in the Caribbean, Seattle, San Antonio, and Indianapolis. It is the sixth property operated by Grupo Presidente in alliance with the InterContinental brand.
