The Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has officially become part of the Destination by Hyatt brand. This follows the completion of the first phase of a $340 million renovation project at the resort, which is owned and managed by Dreamscape Companies.

The Rio is now the biggest property in Hyatt’s global hotel portfolio based on room count. It is also the first Destination by Hyatt hotel in Nevada, expanding the brand’s presence in Las Vegas, a popular destination for leisure, convention, and group travel.

The first phase of the $340 million transformation involved a complete redesign and modernization of the resort’s 1,500-room Ipanema Tower. The hotel also introduced six new dining locations within the new Canteen Food Hall, 220,000 square feet of renovated meetings and convention space, a revamped pool area, and an updated casino floor with over 500 new slot machines and 30 table games.

In addition to these upgrades, the resort opened Lapa Lounge, a cocktail destination, and Luckley Tavern & Grill, a casual dining location. Lighting designers Chris Kuroda and Andrew Giffin created a new light show on the resort’s exterior.

The second phase of the renovation will focus on redesigning and modernizing the Masquerade Tower guestrooms and public spaces.

The Rio Hotel & Casino participates in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, allowing members to earn and redeem points for eligible stays. The hotel currently offers a sale for World of Hyatt members, with up to 25% off stays at the Rio and more than 800 other hotels across the Americas.

The Rio Hotel & Casino is located at 3700 W. Flamingo Road, a short distance from the Las Vegas Strip.
