Dan Saltman, a prominent political streamer, was indefinitely banned from Twitch on November 21, 2024, due to “extreme harassment.”

Twitch cited his actions as violating platform guidelines, particularly for “maliciously raiding and harassing others.” Saltman himself claimed that he had anticipated the ban, highlighting his ongoing criticisms of Twitch and its moderation policies.

The streamer had been vocal in his accusations that Twitch harbors antisemitism, particularly criticizing the platform for allowing Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker to promote anti-Israel views without consequence.

He’d also called on advertisers to withdraw support from Twitch, alleging that the platform was complicit in antisemitic behavior. In response to these criticisms, Saltman created websites and publicly called for the resignation of Twitch CEO Dan Clancy, further fueling tensions with the platform (via GameRant).

Twitch banned Saltman after months of controversy, including his protests over the platform’s updated content policies. One of these policies made the term “Zionist” a bannable offense.
