Vanderpump Rules, the popular reality TV series originally developed as a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been renewed for Season 12. The new season will be a complete reboot of the show and have a brand new cast.

Bravo renews Vanderpump Rules for Season 12 with a revamped cast

Bravo has greenlit the 12th season of Vanderpump Rules, but the series will undergo a complete reboot and bring in a revamped cast. This comes after the series encountered multiple issues when filming commenced last year for Season 11.

It all started when news about an infidelity scandal known as “Scandoval” circulated on the internet. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, a popular couple from the show, parted ways after the former learned about Sandoval’s affair with Rachel Leviss, who was also part of the cast. While the news of this drew impressive ratings for the tenth season of the show, it inevitably impacted the production of Season 11 as Madix and Sandoval didn’t get along.

The 12th season will go into production sometime in 2025 and have an all-new cast made up of current employees at SUR Restaurant and TomTom Restaurant & Bar. The names of new cast members of Season 12 will be revealed later. There will also be a Vanderpump Rules special commemorating the previous 11 seasons.

Reflecting on the recent developments, Lisa Vanderpump said in a press release, “The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between. I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Various now-former cast members also responded to the reboot. Madix, for instance, took to Instagram and thanked Bravo, Lisa Vanderpump, the crew, and the fans. She added, “I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special.”

The release date for the reboot season hasn’t been revealed yet.
