Minor Hotels recently announced Shobhit Khattri’s appointment as Associate Vice President of Development for India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. This move is part of the group’s strategic expansion in the South Asian region.

Khattri, based in New Delhi, India, will report to Omar Romero, Chief Development & Luxury Officer for Minor Hotels. His responsibilities include identifying new development opportunities in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, overseeing the process from site selection to hotel openings, and spearheading the expansion of the company’s brands, especially in India. Khattri will also work with the operations team to ensure that projects adhere to brand standards and maintain operational efficiency.

With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Khattri has a proven track record of driving hotel growth strategy across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. His hospitality career began in 2008 with The Indian Hotels Company Limited, where he contributed significantly to expanding the TAJ brand across India, the Middle East, and Africa. He joined IHG in 2011 to lead development in Southwest Asia and later took over development for IHG in the Middle East and Africa.

Khattri holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Delhi University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from the International Management Institute, Delhi.
