Daniel Radcliffe has joined the cast of the new NBC comedy show starring Tracy Morgan.

It was announced earlier this morning that Morgan will play a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image in a new NBC comedy pilot the actor is executive producing alongside Tina Fey.

Per Deadline, Radcliffe has now been cast in the show. He will play a character named Arthur Tobin, who is an “award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s (Morgan) mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back.”

Radcliffe is best known for playing the titular character in Warner Bros. Pictures’ Harry Potter movies. He received an Emmy nomination for his performance in 2022’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, while he also starred in TBS’ Miracle Workers show.

His filmography further includes 2012’s The Woman in Black, 2013’s What If, 2015’s Victor Frankenstein, 2016’s Swiss Army Man, 2016’s Now You See Me 2, 2017’s Jungle, 2019’s Guns Akimbo, and 2022’s The Lost City.

What else do we know about the new NBC comedy show with Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe?

The show comes from writers Rober Carlock and Sam Means. Both of them also serve as executive producers, as does Eric Gurian, David Miner, and Rhys Thomas.

The series only has a pilot order at this time. Thomas directs the episode, which is produced by Universal Television, Little Stranger, Bevel Gears, and 3 Arts.

Morgan and Fey notably worked together on the Emmy Award-winning comedy show 30 Rock. The show, which premiered on NBC in 2006 and ran for seven seasons, is based on Fey’s experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live. Fey created the show and plays Liz Lemon, while Morgan stars as a character named Tracy Jordan.
