Ongoing rumors online have left fans worried about Bussin’ With the Boys and its hosts leaving the renowned company, Barstool. The speculations arose when one of its hosts, Will Compton, shared some insights on their contract recently. He revealed their contract would end by the year’s end, sparking conversations around their departure.

Here are details about Bussin’ with Boys’ rumors and the truth.

No, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, the Bussin’ With the Boys hosts, are not leaving Barstool.

The rumors about Compton and Lewan’s exit from the company surfaced during an episode of Surviving Barstool this January. The conversations around their contract negotiations were up. However, it was known that they had been voted off from the show. “Right now, the ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ crew is in a negotiation for a bag on the next contract,” Compton said. (via Us Weekly)

Last year, Compton also aired these rumors by revealing his plans to leave Barstool Sports in the “Next Up With Adam” podcast. After detailing their contract negotiations, he revealed, “Me, personally, I wanted to resign with Barstool. I think they are the best brand for us at this point in time.” Nonetheless, they believed the brand was “best” for them and they had forged a “beneficial” partnership with them. So, they didn’t exit and ended up settling for a second mutually-decided deal.

“We end up settling on a $3 million m.g. per year. We have the upside with that, every dollar made after $3 million,” he added. Given that the show continues to enter the new year with new episodes, it is likely that their contract has been renewed.

Yesterday, on January 13, 2025, they dropped an episode with Clay Matthews, discussing the Packers’ split, the USC Dynasty, & his familial NFL Legacy. Most recently, the podcast’s page on X (formerly Twitter) also dropped Matthew McConaughey’s photo, urging him to grace their podcast. Given all these instances, it seems unlikely that the duo and the podcast are departing the company anytime soon.
