The cut joke from Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine that Disney wanted to be removed has been revealed.

In the weeks surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine’s theatrical release, MCU actor Ryan Reynolds confirmed that there was one planned line of dialogue that Disney asked not to include in the movie.

Per Variety, the cut line has now been revealed as the Disney FYC online portal has released the film’s official script, which features the original joke.

The moment takes place shortly after Wade Wilson learns that Magneto is dead. Wade then turns to the camera and says, “F—k! What, we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse c—k in my throat.”

Director Shawn Levy also previously confirmed that Disney asked them to remove a line of dialogue from the film. He told Entertainment Weekly in August 2024, “The general rule is to never punch down and to only take the piss out of people who can take it. Certainly, when it was about Hugh in a meta way, Hugh was always the first to laugh uproariously. There was only one line in the entire movie that we were asked to change. We have made a pact, Ryan and I, to go to our grave with that line, but I will say that it was replaced with an equally dirty line of dialogue about Pinocchio shoving his face up Deadpool’s ass and starting to lie like crazy. I was like, ‘Ryan, that’s your replacement line in response to, ‘Can we clean it up?’ That’s Ryan Reynolds for you, audacious to the very edge.”

Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which co-stars Hugh Jackman alongside Reynolds, is now available to stream at home on Disney+.
